Air cooler (fin-fan) simulation
1 inlet -> 1 outlet (rejects to air)
Governing equations
The exact equations the solver works for a air cooler (fin-fan) — the same math shown in the app's "Theory" panel, not a black box.
- heat rejected to the air [W]
- process molar flow [mol/s]
- process molar enthalpy [J/mol]
- air mass flow [kg/s] — solved from the air-side balance
- air heat capacity [J/kg/K] (≈1005)
- ambient air inlet temperature [K]
- air outlet temperature [K]
Parameters
process side: exactly one of duty [W, negative] OR outlet_temperature [K] + optional pressure_drop [Pa]. Air side: air_inlet_temperature [K, ambient, default 308.15]; one of air_mass_flow [kg/s] / air_outlet_temperature [K] / air_temperature_rise [K, default 15]. Optional fan_static_pressure_pa [Pa] + fan_efficiency [default 0.65] for fan power. Rejects the process heat to ambient air (fin-fan); cannot cool below ambient
