Frequently asked questions
Is there a free tier?
Yes, and it does not expire. Free is $0 with no card: 50 flowsheet solves, 10 optimization runs, 10 sensitivity sweeps and 100 AI-copilot messages a month, plus the browser canvas, the example library, reports, share links and version snapshots.
Do I need an account just to try it?
No. You can build a flowsheet and run it signed out, up to a per-IP limit that protects the shared compute. Creating a free account removes that limit and keeps your work.
What counts as one solve?
One run of one flowsheet. Optimization runs and sensitivity sweeps are metered separately because each one drives many solves behind it, and copilot messages are metered separately again — so a day of asking questions never eats the allowance you need for running cases.
What happens when I reach a monthly limit?
That one action is refused with a message naming the limit it hit. Nothing is deleted, your flowsheets stay open and exportable, and the allowance resets at the start of the next month.
Team or Pro — which is which?
Team is a flat $299/month with 2,000 solves included: a predictable bill for a working group. Pro is usage-based with no cap, for teams whose load moves. Both carry every Pro feature — optimization, the digital twin and APC — and real-time collaboration.
Is it free for students and academics?
Yes. An account on an allowlisted university domain is granted the academic plan — 1,500 solves, 300 optimization runs, 300 sensitivity sweeps and 500 copilot messages a month, plus every Pro feature. It is granted, never sold, and it is sized for a semester of coursework rather than a research programme.
Is Industrial AI part of a simulator plan?
No — it is a second product on the same account, sold per site per year and scoped with sales, and it includes every simulator Pro feature. Its engineering-agent runs are metered on their own allowance so a site's agent work can never drain an engineer's copilot quota. Every other plan can evaluate it: the demonstrations are unlimited.
Can we run it on our own infrastructure?
Self-hosted deployment is an Enterprise option. In that mode the solver, the database, file storage and every stream value stay on your infrastructure.
