Ammonia scrubber (acid) simulation
gas + acid -> scrubbed gas, liquor at a set mole ratio, acid bypass
Governing equations
The exact equations the solver works for a ammonia scrubber (acid) — the same math shown in the app's "Theory" panel, not a black box.
- ammonia absorbed [mol/s]
- ammonia recovery [-]
- ammonia in the gas [mol/s]
- fraction of the acid sent to the contactor [-]
- liquor mole ratio [-]
- ammonia nitrogen in the acid [mol/s]
- phosphorus in the acid [mol/s]
- sulfur in the acid [mol/s]
- liquor mole ratio [-]
Parameters
ammonia in a gas absorbed by acid; the liquor leaves at a set mole ratio and the acid not needed bypasses. mole_ratio [-] (required: the liquor's, e.g. 1.5 pre-scrubber, 0.7 tail-gas scrubber); ammonia_recovery [-] (required, the contactor's, measured); temperature [K] (default the gas inlet's). No water is condensed or evaporated
